I am simply amazed by this guitar, it feels and plays like a high-end instrument and is just incredible.
Setup straight out of the box is fine, I have no need to check the action, neck or string height. Even the stock strings are okay - although I'll probably change them soon. Neck is wonderful and the fretwork is excellent.
Body is very lightweight, however that doesn't affect the tone which is tight but full. The three pickups all have their own sonic character. Tuning is easy and very, very stable (a major advantage of headless guitars).
I had seen the NHL-500 when it was announced but had to wait before it became available for order. Delivery time was very fast. This is my 4th Donner guitar and yet again I am struck by the quality of their products. You really have the idea that you have something special in your hands with this one.

From accessories to user experience, every detail is thought out! It’s not just the guitar that’s great—the gig bag is awesome too. The material feels thick, and there’s impact-resistant padding on the corners. Last time I accidentally scraped it against a wall, the guitar was totally fine. Plus, the bag can be carried as a backpack or by hand—hand-carrying is way easier for short trips. The biggest surprise? The satin finish on the neck. Even when my hands sweat in summer, it doesn’t get sticky, and the grip feels great. You can tell the brand didn’t cut corners on the small details.

The tuning stability is surprisingly good—no more panic before gigs! It’s my first time using a guitar with a locking bridge, and I’m blown away by how stable it is.
