Meet the Donner GO II: A Portable Guitar Amp Made for Everyday Playing
Whether you're practising in your bedroom, writing a new riff at your desk or taking your guitar to a friend's house, a good amp should make playing easy and enjoyable. The new Donner GO II is a compact 15W portable guitar amplifier designed to deliver versatile tones without taking up much space. With built-in amp models, effects, a drum machine and rechargeable power, this mini guitar amp brings a flexible practice setup into one lightweight unit.
1. Shape Your Sound with Built-In Amp Models and Effects
From Clean Tones to High-Gain Rock
The Donner GO II uses a dedicated DSP chip and Donner's tone algorithms to create a range of guitar sounds. Choose from five amp models, seven effects modules and 11 selectable effects to explore everything from clear, clean tones to heavier, high-gain sounds. Effects include chorus, tremolo, flanger, wah, phaser, harmony, multi-EQ, delay and reverb, giving you plenty of options for experimenting with different styles.
Quick Presets, More Control
With four physical preset buttons, the Donner GO II portable guitar amplifier lets you switch between favourite sounds without repeatedly adjusting every setting. For more detailed tone shaping, connect to the companion smartphone app and fine-tune effect parameters. The responsive DSP system is designed to react to your playing dynamics, helping lighter picking sound clear while stronger attacks bring out more drive.
2. Compact Design with Rechargeable Power
Weighing just 1.8 kg and measuring 228 × 140 × 165 mm, the Donner GO II fits comfortably on a desk, shelf or practice corner. Its built-in 11.1V, 1200mAh lithium battery provides over 5.5 hours of continuous use under specified conditions, making it a convenient option for home practice, travelling or informal outdoor sessions. When the battery needs charging, the 5V USB-C charging connection offers a practical way to power up without carrying a bulky dedicated charger.
3. Full, Balanced Sound from a Small Speaker
A compact amp still needs to sound satisfying. The Donner GO II portable guitar amp combines a 15W rated output with a 4-inch, 4Ω full-range speaker and a dedicated bass diaphragm. This design aims to deliver clear detail, a punchier low end and a balanced response across the stated 20Hz–20kHz frequency range. Whether you're practising chord changes, exploring effects or working on a new lead part, the compact cabinet offers a convenient desktop setup without a full-sized amplifier.
4. Play Along, Sing and Practise with a Drum Machine
The Donner GO II is designed for more than solo guitar practice. Its built-in drum machine gives you a rhythmic backing for working on timing, grooves and riffs. Separate 6.35mm guitar and microphone inputs also make it possible to connect a guitar and a microphone at the same time, which is useful for singer-songwriters who want to practise vocals and guitar together. For a backing track from another device, use Bluetooth 5.4 wireless audio or the 3.5mm AUX input.
5. Modern Connections for Recording and Live Streaming
For players who create content as well as music, the Donner GO II guitar amplifier includes a Type-C OTG live interface designed for direct recording and smartphone live streaming. Its USB-A port also supports the listed USB audio playback function, while Bluetooth 5.4 provides wireless playback of compatible backing tracks. These connections make the amp a practical addition to a home music setup, whether you're capturing ideas, sharing a performance or playing along with your favourite songs.
Conclusion: Take Your Sound Wherever You Play
The new Donner GO II brings amp modelling, versatile effects, a drum machine and modern connectivity into a compact, rechargeable design. Its 15W output, bass-enhanced speaker and flexible input options make it a useful choice for everyday practice, songwriting and casual jam sessions. If you're looking for a portable guitar amplifier that keeps your essential tools close at hand, the Donner GO II offers a straightforward way to shape your sound and keep playing wherever inspiration strikes.
